I took a stab at drawing a world map. Some parts towards the south I’m not completely satisfied with, but some others turned out ok. I also don’t have names or backstories, but I’ll highlight one feature that inspired the whole map.
You notice a cliff splitting the map in two. One of the cities is built right at the edge of the cliff. In the past, some magical catastrophe broke the land and now, only half of the city survives with ruins scattered at the bottom of the cliff. The city itself is still of considerable size and there is a small community of traders and wasteland rangers living at the bottom of the cliff and a tall elevator takes goods and adventurers from the desert to the city (and back).
I hope this inspires adventures. 🙂
Here’s also a black and white version.
