I took a stab at drawing a world map. Some parts towards the south I’m not completely satisfied with, but some others turned out ok. I also don’t have names or backstories, but I’ll highlight one feature that inspired the whole map.
Map #49 – Generic dungeon
It took a while to post another map. This one’s a generic dungeon that serves as someone’s (wizard/ruler/bandit lord/etc) tomb. The trick however, is that the actual body is hidden in a secret chamber. Continue reading “Map #49 – Generic dungeon”
Map #48 – Splicing lab
I was in a mood for another scifi map. I’m not sure about all of the details, but some parts I think are quite ok.
This is another secret underground lab. There’s a tram system connecting it to other parts of the compounds. This lab works on combining various alien specimens to ‘volunteers’ for whatever villainous purpose you’d like.
There’s a room with animal pens, a biolab with various plants, a general lab with a treatment room and a larger room with individual tanks for combining extracted materials. There are also a few cells to hold prisoners as well as monitoring room and a small break room. An elevator leads to the surface.
Here’s a version without the grid.

Map #46 – Sasha’s Workshop
Time for a scifi map. Just ink this time. The workshop is partly inside a natural cavern and there’s enough room to lodge a couple of persons. Most of customers of the workshop would rather keep their business private.
The workshop is very messy and most of the components are of little value by themselves. There is a generator downstairs accessed from the workshop hall and ladders leading to a small observation post.
No alternative versions this time, I’m afraid.

Map #45 – Tower ruins
Another attempt at coloring. I’m still not sure if I know what I’m doing, but some parts were fine, and some parts I’m not maximally happy with.
The map itself is a ruined watch tower. It’s been abandoned for a long time and partially overtaken by water, but recently, it has found new inhabitants.
Here’s a version without the grid and here’s one without any color.

Map #43 – (Yet another) Hideout
This map took quite a while to get ready. I really haven’t done any coloring before and I’m not completely satisfied with how it looks. The next maps will probably be traditional ink-only, but I’ll likely experiment with the colors again.
The map itself is a hideout for any of the usual suspects (bandits, orcs, warlocks, rebels, etc.
In case you don’t like the coloring, here’s a black and white version.

Map #42 – Sewer hideout
Phew! This map took a long time to finish, mostly due to combination of level of detail and me being very busy. It’s a small hideout in the sewers. Possible inhabitants could be thieves or assassin’s but also rebels fighting against a tyrant (or a conspiracy looking to overthrow the legitimate(?) ruler!).
I hope you like it!

There’s also a version without the background.
